Description

Song of Songs of Salomon is a book of the Bible which ends with the affirmation that love is “like a spark from God”, as two young lovers seek in vain to find each other. In portraying and transforming the didactic and allegorical message of this ancient canticle, Dali reinterprets it up-to-date with modern tastes.

Dali also drew inspiration from his own passion for his wife Gala, who was his lifelong muse and spiritual companion.
